LIGHTING CONTROL ENGINE

Designed to control large and complex projects, the Lighting Control Engine (LCE) is a high-performance server with the e:cue Software Suite installed. A central control unit, this versatile Lighting Control Server orchestrates all devices and fixtures within a project. With the ability to output DMX/RDM, e:net, and other protocols such as Art-Net and KiNET, and the capability to integrate various audio/video, external triggering, and other desired devices and content, the LCE is the ultimate solution for the most demanding projects. A built-in touch screen monitor housed on the front panel of the attractive, durable aluminum casing provides user interaction with custom graphic user interface designs. The LCE can be mounted in a 19” rack.

Key Features

  • Built-in touch screen for user control and monitoring
  • Use the touch screen monitor for customized graphical User Interfaces (see Action Pad feature in software section), including pictures, buttons, and faders with various colors, shapes, and patterns. This screen can also be used for monitoring lighting installation parameters and status of various devices in a lighting control system.
  • Equipped with e:cue’s Lighting Application Suite
  • The LCE is pre-installed with the full e:cue software suite and a built-in license key, running Windows 7™ operating system to ensure compatibility and reliability.
  • Orchestrates all fixtures, devices, technologies and media
  • As a central control unit, this versatile lighting control server synchronizes all e:cue and external devices as well as lighting fixtures within a project, including integration of various technologies and media content.
  • Reliable uninterrupted operation
  • The LCE is designed to work without interruption ensuring permanent installations run smoothly. It is used in many projects around the world where reliability is critical. Additional LCEs can be configured to back up the master LCE to run the complete installation in the event of failure. Both LCEs are synchronized; the backup LCE takes over from where the main LCE was interrupted.
  • Outputs a variety of Ethernet-based protocols
  • Apart from directly outputting DMX, e:net, Art-Net/KiNET, the LCE can also communicate via RDM using the Butler XT as an interface.
  • Numerous triggering options
  • Integrate various technologies and devices for triggering and external control via RS232, DMX, MIDI, Ethernet (UDP), SMPTE Timecode, and digital dry contact inputs. Furthermore, the lighting show file running on the LCE is also triggered via a real-time astronomical clock and an integrated web server for remote control via a web browser.
  • Integrate media content
  • Easily integrate audio and video into your lighting project through audio/video files, or external media content via audio/video hardware devices. Use two media players to replay and transition between two video files.
  • Remotely control lighting show via LAN using a web browser
  • The LCE, along with the e:cue software suite installed, features a Web server which allows remote access and control through a Local Area Connection (LAN).
  • Synchronize sound-to-light sequences
  • Create dynamic lighting sequences based on sound from music or other audio source. The audio source can be an audio file or an external audio device.
  • Control up to 65,536 DMX channels
  • One of these devices can control up to 65,536 DMX channels, equivalent to individual control
